Dedicated to the memory of Hansa Parmar

I would like to let you know that the collection in memory of my dear Mum, Hansa, will be closing on Monday 30th August. This day would have been our late daughter Ra-ang's 1st birthday and so is a very meaningful day for me and my family.

The valuable funds raised in memory of my dear Mum Hansa will help to improve and save the lives of babies on the Neonatal Unit here in Leeds. This is my mum’s legacy, and as my fundraising is now drawing to a close, I would like to ask anyone else wishing to support my fundraising to kindly do so by the 30th August.  I am eternally grateful for every penny that can be raised in memory of my mum.

This site is a tribute to my late Mother, Hansa Parmar. She is much loved and will always be remembered.

On the 30th of October, I lost my Mum to Covid, who had been at St. James’s Hospital on a ventilator. Less than a month later, on the 22nd November, I lost my little girl who had only been born a few months earlier. She was born without a heartbeat and had been transferred to the Neonatal Unit.

During the darkest of times, the staff on the wards were like a family to me, and I felt so blessed to have our wonderful NHS caring for them.

As a legacy for my Mum and my little girl, I want to do whatever I can to make a difference and give something back. This page serves as online tribute to them, where you can light a candle, leave messages, and support my fundraising.

The Leeds Centre for Newborn Care is one of the largest neonatal services in the UK, providing specialist care to around 1,700 babies each year, many of whom need intensive care or surgery.

Donations to Leeds Hospitals Charity have helped fund life-saving equipment, environmental improvements and projects to support parents and their babies well-being. For example, an incubator and a ventilator was purchased as a direct result of fundraising by others. Please support my fundraising to help fund projects like these to benefit families just like mine.
